Morocco now has about one million industrial jobs.

During this term, the government pledged to create one million jobs, including 400,000 in industry. How are you going to do that?

So we have 258,000 temporary jobs that have already been signed and we’ve identified 168,000 direct and indirect jobs under the projects under study or in the qualification process we’re going to support. We must reach the goal of 400,000 jobs by the end of this government mandate, God willing.

– We were told that industrialists are suffering and that Morocco does not export enough industrial products.

– I do not deny in any way the suffering of the manufacturers, it is a real difficulty: the supply is not always easy, and the inputs are increasingly scarce; Manufacturers do a good job; Also there is the liquidity problem because the prices are higher and therefore they don’t necessarily have the credits to be able to meet the demand which is very good. But they respond. They suffer, but they respond.

We are very proud of them, proud of the results the manufacturers have achieved today and the position they are taking. They are in the process of shifting the test, to gain market share for our country, to seize the opportunities that the new turmoil in the global economy presents to them.

What is the secret of the success of the current industrial strategy?

– It is first and foremost a clear vision of His Majesty the King: making Morocco a center and employing all means to achieve this. This was done through hard work, sacrifices and a lot of infrastructure investment, but also through the signing of several free trade agreements, which were criticized but had the advantage of opening up the market and being a powerful encouragement to attract foreign investment and technology transfer. This explains the strong attractiveness of Morocco today and its ability to move forward.

Moreover, Morocco’s undeniable assets are political stability and macroeconomic stability, which is very rare in the region. We are perhaps the most attractive country in the region.

We have a plan that we are testing that will increase the value of our exports by 120 billion dirhams. In the end, we will reach 500 billion dirhams in industrial exports.

Of the 120 billion projected, 70 billion are clearly identified in terms of product and market pairs.

– How reliable are these project papers?

We challenged all ideas and worked with the sectoral associations.

We set goals, we look at the target markets, we analyze them together, we look at how they are penetrated, what is needed, what is the competitiveness, what are the products, what is missing in the chain and we put what is necessary so that the respective operators can achieve their goals.

It is a program associated with 8 or 9 support systems ranging from funding to certification.

The certificate It is one of the biggest secrets of success, and not just for the food industry. In aeronautics, an important part of the job consists of supporting certifications. Once approved by the manufacturer, manufacturers can begin delivery.
