PlayStation Plus: All ‘Free’ Extra and Premium games for August 2022

game news PlayStation Plus: All ‘Free’ Extra and Premium games for August 2022

After announcing that nearly the entire Yakuza saga will come to PlayStation Plus in August, Sony’s subscription service is back in the spotlight today to reveal its entire summer catalog. So, are there a few surprises in the program?

The Extra and Premium modes of PlayStation Plus have been offering content continuously since last June. Moreover, today Sony revealed the games that will be available to all subscribers starting August 16th. Of course, we will have the right, as expected, to three yakuza titles, but also some additional surprises.

Three Yakuza for the price of one (PS4 / PS5)

We start with what we all expected: the yakuza. Therefore, in less than a week players will be able to dive into the Japanese crime world with the arrival of three songs from the epic Ryū ga Gotoku Studio. Obviously we are referring to Yakuza Kiwami first and second of the name (Remakes of the first two first), but also Yakuza Zero: Section Location. Sony’s goal here is to introduce newcomers to the adventures of Kazuma Kiryu before the arrival of Yakuza 3 Remastered and its sequels Yakuza 4 Remastered and Yakuza 5 Remastered, and the conclusion Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. In fact, the four titles mentioned above will be available in the Sony catalog later this year.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is also in the game (PS4 / PS5)

We continue the program with Ghost Recon Wildlands, a title that breathes new life into the Ghost Recon franchise by allowing players to team up with three other players or even with AI to evolve in a massive open world. We are talking here about a stadium of more than 500 square kilometers that can be crossed by car, boat or plane. In this production from Ubisoft, our favorite Ghosts’ mission is to dismantle the drug trade that’s spread throughout Bolivia.

The Little Bugsnax Surprise (PS4 / PS5) Game

We continue with the little surprise bognax. An original title was released at the time of the PlayStation 5 launch. Produced by the creators of Octodad: Dadliest Catch, this game throws the player onto the island of Zenka, an unparalleled place populated by live snacks; Yes, you read that correctly. Your hero, to investigate this mystery, will have to search for these strange snacks to analyze and learn more about them. But the most interesting thing is that the creation allows you to mingle with other drowning characters on this island. The “angry” are crazier than each other.

About the new PlayStation Plus:

What is PlayStation Plus?

The second also benefits from a catalog of around 400 PS4 titles | PS5.
