In Renault’s electric program for the coming years: the revival of the Scénic as well as the return of the R5 and 4L.

Renault Kangoo Electronic Technology – 2022

Renault Trafic E-Tech – 2023
Kangoo Van and Master has been going electric for a few years now. Strange that traffic is not entitled to it. But that will be fixed soon. Renault SCENIC – 2024
Forget what you know about Scénic! In 2024, the king of compact MPVs will become an electric SUV! The model was announced by a concept car, which was revealed in the spring of 2022. The exterior design of the production version will remain close to the prototype. So it would mark a turning point for Renault, with angular shapes, like Peugeot. Logic: This Scénic is Jill Vidal, who has been at the helm of the Lion model for ten years, worked!
This technology will be borrowed from Mégane E-Tech. Built on the CMF-EV platform, it was launched with 130 or 220 hp engines, and 40 or 60 kWh batteries. Expect a larger 87kWh battery seen in the Nissan Arya. Logically, this Scénic would be distinguished from the Mégane by a better sense of welcome: more space in the back, a large trunk … The concept is 4.49 meters long, 28 cm longer than the Mégane.

Renault 5 – 2024
With this model, Renault tests your patience. The Concept 5 Prototype was revealed in early 2021, but the brand immediately announced that the production version would be launched in 2024! We still hope to discover it before the end of 2023. We promise that a production model will be close to concept.
With the new R5 Renault becomes a new retro, but with the engines of the future. The car is only electric. I’ll take Zoe’s place. The R5 will use a modified version of the CMF-B platform used by Clio (renamed CMF-BEV), thus adapting to electric.
The R5 will seek to play on two tables: to be an accessible electric car, with a small engine and small battery, and to be a more elegant general-purpose model, with a high-end configuration with a mass of 100 kW, manufactured in Cleon, and a range of 400 km. The car will be made in France, in Douai.
Renault 4L – 2025
Double dose of Neo Retro. In addition to the R5, the 4L will also return! Both projects were launched by Luca de Meo, president of Losange for two years… who was behind the revival of the Fiat 500. The 4L will also be based on the CMF-BEV platform and will not be intended to lower prices at the entry level, as this role within the group is being transferred to Dacia spring.
It will differ from the R5 by its practicality and a more adventurous look. But the main lines will therefore be inspired by the archetype. We will get a taste of this car thanks to the concept car, which was presented this fall at the Paris Motor Show. Renault has already announced that this 4L electric car will have a utility version, again with a vintage-inspired silhouette.
In 2025, Renault will have a full range of electric cars for segments B (city cars) and C (compact). The following is necessarily a sample topic above. At this level, nothing is indicated. But we can imagine a large SUV. Unless Renault dares to get a new silhouette, why not a four-door coupe! Technically, the sparkler can wait for the solid batteries that Nissan is working on to arrive.
